  • All DCM 'legacy' PIs have been migrated to their nla.obj counterparts.
  • We've upgraded internal Sprightly platform components so we can better support Sprightly into the future.
  • We've fixed a few long standing bugs where time has permitted (including this blog feed!)

Sprightly issue resolved

The earlier issue with Sprightly has been resolved and Sprightly should be working as normal.

If you notice further issues, please log these via ServiceDesk.

Please note: an issue has arisen with Sprightly apparently not reading rightsholder information from Voyager and not displaying agreements and drafts correctly.

The issue is being investigated and we hope to rectify it as soon as possible.

If you have any concerns, please contact Gerard Clifton on x 1381.

Sprightly displays an image on the rights holder's page if one is available in the external Freebase database, or if Library staff supply a persistent identifier (PI) for an image in our collections. If there is no image or there is a Freebase image but you have found a better one in our digital collections, here's how to update the image:

  1. Mouse-over the image or place holder, then click on the blue "Edit" button.
  2. Enter the PI in the "Work PI" box, e.g. nla.pic-vn3885432.
  3. Click on "Validate", then click on "Update Thumbnail" once the PI is confirmed as valid.
Breadcrumbs FAQ

Home > Search: tim webster... > Webster, Tim... > Search: bryan kneale... > Kneale, Bryan...

  • the breadcrumbs all clear when you go back to Home
  • they don't show in the Agreement wizard
  • they're good as pigeon food or to make wiener schnitzel (smile)
Sprightly on holidays

System changes after Thursday

Of course Sprightly will continue to operate over the holiday break!

However due the moratorium on any IT system changes between mid December and mid January any updates to the back end of Sprightly will be postponed until the new year.

We have a number of tweaks which we've put through the test system and these will go into operation late Thursday eg

  • new explanatory text about Sprightly on the opening page
  • some helpful extra words in the relationship display
  • Printed Collections added to the drop down of Collection Areas.

Nightly is now nightly

Also, the fix has worked and any changes and additions to authority records in Voyager will now be reflected in Sprightly the following day.

As always, contact Carmel or Ingrid if you have any questions(wink)

For staff searching for rights information there is now a link in the staff view of the catalogue http://catalogue.nla.gov.au/

Scroll down the record display and you'll see Rights informationView in Sprightly

Just a click through and you're in Sprightly!

Bug fix

We've discovered a minor bug when using Internet Explorer which will be fixed next week.

If you need to archive an existing agreement (either via the Archive Agreement icon or the wizard) you will need to perform the action in Firefox - it just 'hangs' in IE.
